NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Adoption of an Updated Water Safety (Boating) Ordinance & Resolution

that a public hearing will be held in the Stevens County Commissioners’ Office located at 230 E. Birch Avenue, Colville, WA 99114 (the old Avista Building) on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment and determine whether an updated Water Safety Ordinance, commonly referred to as the Boating Ordinance, should be adopted for the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare of the people within Stevens County. Public comment will also be received on the proposed Resolution setting the permit fees and bond amounts on the aforementioned Ordinance as well.

Copies of the proposals are available for review at the Stevens County Board of County Commissioners’ Office and online at stevenscountywa.gov.

This is an open public meeting, and any interested party may appear and speak for or against said proposed request. For virtual attendance, please see the below public access information. Comments may be submitted in writing or via email to Stevens County, 215 S. Oak, Colville WA 9114 by Tuesday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. The hearing location is barrier free.
