Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area seeks high school age students for paid summer jobs

Coulee Dam, WA – Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is now accepting applications for the 2023 summer Youth Conservation Corps ( YCC) program. Participants will get paid to work, learn, and gain leadership skills. No prior experience is needed, just an eagerness to make a difference. YCC engages young people in meaningful work experiences at national parks, forests, wildlife refuges, and fish hatcheries, while developing an ethic of environmental stewardship and civic responsibility.

Up to nine total YCC enrollees will be recruited for positions at Spring Canyon, Fort Spokane, and Kettle Falls. Please indicate on your application which area or areas you are interested in working. Positions are open to students who are at least 15 years old but will not reach 19 years old by the end of the season. This is non- residential employment, and all enrollees must provide their own transportation to and from work, as well as a social security number prior to entrance into the program. Employment is scheduled to start June 19, 2023 and continue through August 12, 2023. Enrollees will be paid the Washington State minimum hourly wage for 40- hours a week.
