Robert Eugene Delp

Robert Eugene Delp, age 68, of Newport, Washington passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on July 29th, 2022 from stomach cancer. He was born in Colville, Washington on November 23rd, 1953; married Lee Ann Peterson on February 4th, 1983 in Wrangell, Alaska. Together they raised four children and were blessed with 39 years of marriage. Robert had a strong work ethic and worked in the lumber industry most of his life at Vaagen Brothers. Outside of work he had a passion for gardening, woodworking, learning, and working on cars. He never met a flower or vegetable he couldn’t get to grow or a car he couldn’t figure out. He was the first in his family to dive into woodworking which became a love he shared with his children. Anyone who knew Robert benefitted from his humor and willingness to help anyone with any project. He will be greatly missed and always loved. He is survived by his wife Lee Ann, sons Robert & Devin, daughters Carissa & Athena, six grandchildren, and seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held from 2- 4pm Friday August 19th, at Hennessey’s Funeral Home & Crematory in Spokane, Washington.
