Charles ( Chuck) Raymond Thill

Chuck was born January 30, 1943 in Spokane, Washington, to Edward and Martha (Ferrell) Thill. His family later moved to Colville, where he graduated from high school in 1961.

He served in the U S Navy from 1961 to 1966 as a radioman in Vietnam and the Philippine Islands. In 1967 he married Carol Droter, giving him a daughter, Lori, and a son, Rick. He graduated from Eastern Washington University with a business degree in 1971. Although he considered other career choices; he followed his true love of cars and worked for Skaggs Automotive until retiring. He loved to restore old cars; make model cars, collect stamps and coins. He belonged to the Wanderers Car Club and served as president.

Chuck peacefully passed July 27 with his loving daughter, Lori, by his side.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Orris & Marie (Meade) Ferrell, Peter and Emma (Lins) Thill and parents, Edward and Martha (Ferrell) Thill. He is survived by his wife, Sue; siblings, Edward Thill (Karen), Anna Marie Karlson, and Mary Jo Kern (Ben); children, Lori Johnson (Rob) and grandsons, Eli and Ean, Rick Thill (Michelle) and granddaughters, Hannah and Hayden, and Eric Davis ( Jennifer) and grandchildren, McKenzie and Cameron.

The family wants to thank VA Hospice for their loving and gentle care.

A Rosary will be said for Chuck on Saturday, August 20, 12PM followed by a Memorial Mass 1PM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Spokane, WA, with a reception to follow.
