Colville track and field finished second and third at last event of the regular season

NEWPORT – Colville track and field took in their last event of the regular season at the Newport Invitational, Colville did well on both sides as the boys finished second in the team scoring and the girls finished third.

Once again, the boys did well in the running events, Allan McKeraghan set two personal records with a 10.99 winning time in the 100m, and a 22.39 time in the 200m. Cole McKenna set a PR winning the 110m hurdles in 16.17, while Noah Andres finished second in the 1600m with a PR of 5: 07.66, Jack Gallanger finished third with a PR of 54.71 in the 400m.

Cole McKenna was third in the 300m hurdles at 52.49 and Auston Dell leapt a PR of 5’ 08” in the high jump to finish third.

The girls’ competition saw Kaelyn Malone win the 100m in 13.03 and the long jump with a season best distance of 15’ 00”, Kalista Malone won the 300m hurdles in a PR of 50.43, Rylee Dyar won the shot put with a throw of 30’ 6.75”, Bailey Benson win the discus with a throw of 101’ 04”, and Maleah Danford won the javelin with a throw if 105’ 01”.

This Friday and Saturday the 1A district championships will be held at Riverside High School to see who will qualify for the state championships starting on May 26 at Eastern Washington University.
