Jason Gardner Spreads a Message of Kindness on Better World Day

By Madilynn Richart

Jason Gardner, a retired Navy SEAL who now works for Echelon Front, visited Kettle Falls High School on Better World Day to deliver a message of individual leadership to our student body. He shared the rules of combat he learned from the military and how to apply them to our everyday lives.

He also emphasized the importance of leadership qualities in working with a team, solving problems, building relationships, and creating a better space to live and work. He stressed that kindness and empathy are essential to strong leadership, and we must have compassion and understanding that everyone goes through tough times in order to better understand and interact with others.

Jason asked all students to see themselves as leaders working together to accomplish a shared mission while employing kindness, understanding, and responsibility, which was a perfect end to our Better World Day.

KFHS wants to thank Jason for volunteering his time and expertise to our student body and contributing to us all making the world a little bit better.
