Virgil “Glenn” Vannice

In Loving Memory, Virgil “Glenn” Vannice passed away May 5, 2022 in Pullman WA at the age of 89. Glenn was born at the family homestead in Garfield, WA on July 23, 1932 to William and Nina Vannice. His mother Nina passed away shortly after his birth and he was then cared for by family friends, Charles and Netty Turner in Dayton WA. He was with the Turners for his first six years, at which time he then rejoined his Dad, Step-mother and 2 older brothers back in Garfield. The family moved to various locations over the years including McMinnville OR, Colfax Wa and Chewelah WA where he graduated from high school.

While in Chewelah, he met Donna Salvage, whom he married in 1952. They moved to the Garfield homestead where they started farming, bringing the homestead back to life. They started their family and had two daughters, Laurie and Barbara. Glen farmed in the Garfield and Palouse areas for 20 years.

Glenn was in the Army National Guard for many years, and very proudly achieved the rank of major.

In 1971, Glenn re- located to Colville Wa, where he purchased Mobile Ranch Sales and Mobile Ranch Park in Colville. In 1977, Glenn married Anne Williams. Together they ran Mobile Ranch Sales, selling mobile homes until 1982. They continued to own, manage and operate Mobile Ranch Park for 40 years.

Glenn and Anne enjoyed traveling together. They took many trips in their motorhome, covering all of the US. . They enjoyed several cruises over the years and also traveled to Europe. Glenn had many interests, including collecting vintage cars, driving them in parades and entering them in car shows, riding his 4wheeler in Arizona and deep sea fishing in Alaska. With his adventurous spirit, he didn’t think twice about going on a hot air balloon ride and zip- ling any chance he could. He rarely missed meeting his buddies for morning coffee at various locations around town. Glenn greatly enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and Ken and greatgrand daughter Kyleaya.

Glen is survived by his loving wife Annie in Colville, daughters Laurie Brown (Randy) in Oklahoma and Barbara Ball (Mike) in Colville; grand- daughters Jessica Ball ( Josh), Cusick WA, Kirstin Ball (Tim), Coeur d’ Alene Id, Judah and Jovan Sutton, Cusick and Dax and Marley Cox in Oklahoma. Glenn is also survived by several Nieces, nephews and their extended families in Washington Oregon and Utah.

A celebration of Life will be held at 4: 00 on Saturday afternoon, May 28, 2022 at the Eagles Lodge, 608 N Wynne St in Colville Wa. Friends and Family are welcome.
